T8 Fluorescent Light Not Working

As i said in the intro we noticed this happening over a 3 4 week period. A good way to check that your ballast is the culprit is to turn on a voltage detector and hold it next to the wires supplying power to the ballast. To replace remove the old tube and bring it to the hardware store. Fluorescent lights are commonly used because of their low operating cost.

Aside from a burnt tube other factors such as a worn starter and loose or oxidized electrical contacts can contribute to a fluorescent light not working properly. Also these dimmers will not work for incandescent fixtures.

You cannot mix fluorescent fixtures and incandescent fixtures on the same dimmer switch. The new t8 led tubes are not working on my ballasts. A burnt out lamp is the most common reason any light fixture does not light. I have 3 different ballasts and none of them work with the led tubes.
