Loosen the screws or nuts that hold.

On some models of faucet you may have to remove the cartridge with a specialized tool which will be indicated on manufacturer s instructions.
Turn it clockwise until the handle comes off using an allen wrench or a screwdriver.

Loosen the screw that holds the handle onto the faucet.
To replace the cartridge grip the top of the cartridge with pliers and pull straight up to remove it.
Slide the white cartridge removal tool that came with your new cartridge over the old cartridge the tool acts a socket for the cartridge so you can use a wrench to remove it.
If there s a decorative cap or button on the handle you ll want to take that off first to get to the screw.
Continue turning the allen wrench counter clockwise until the handle is loose enough to remove from the faucet body.
If there s an escutcheon or other trim remove that as well.
Faucet handles can differ by model but they re typically attached by a screw.
Test the handle s tightness with one hand as the allen wrench retracts the set screw further out of the handle.

Remove the plastic tool and use the plier to firmly grasp the top of the cartridge stem and pull straight up to lift the cartridge out of the faucet body.
Use an adjustable wrench to grab the tool and twist the cartridge back and forth until it works loose.
Slide the cartridge out of the socket.
Now loosen the cartridge assembly with your wrench and remove it.
Some water will come out with the cartridge that s normal.
