Shifting Does Not Lock Doors

Looking through the manual it s not really clear by the wording if they should or shouldn t.

Shifting does not lock doors.

Press the power door unlock control on the door panel three times. Insert your key and turn it a few times to work the graphite into. Turn ignition switch on 3. A fuse is blown.
